The Vice President of Strategic Growth is a high-ranking position within the agency that will help lead the company into and through the next phase of growth the business is experiencing. This pivotal position must have an aptitude for fostering long-term personal and business relationships that is part of their personal brand across entertainment sectors including publicity, legal, labels, managers, songwriters, agents, publishers, brands, promoters, ticketing agencies, talent buyers, and more. As a professional, you do not shy away from the big rooms, big names, big moments, and big clients.


This important role requires business and commercialization acumen from a strategic growth leader that sees the big picture, has an analytical and creative approach to solving our client’s, and our agency's, problems with integrated, strategic, and effective solutions. Job Description:


The VP of Strategic Growth is charged with developing new, and managing key client relationships, as well as establishing strategic and exclusive partnerships within the entertainment industry. 

You will lead expansion into new business categories, expand our standard live entertainment clientele, and help increase current client billings. In addition, you will oversee our agency brand reputation and industry perception, research positioning, and reputation of all competitors in Nashville to see indications of differentiators and define whitespace to develop strategies to fill needs in the market to drive agency growth while guiding account personnel. 
 

Marketing and Digital Strategy for Clients

  • Provide digital and marketing strategy, alongside internal teams, with a clearly defined roadmap for our newly signed clients.

  • Work with VP of Communications and VP of Operations to create new sales opportunities for our team creating a solid pipeline of revenue activity.

  • Weekly review of these opportunities with the leadership team to determine company contributions to support these efforts.

  • Work with key stakeholders, ownership, and extended executive leadership team to coach and teach our team on action items needed, new service opportunities, and ways in which we can increase current revenue growth. 

 

Sales / P&L 

  • Grow the financial health of the Company by effectively managing the overall Sales of the Company.

  • Work with the VP of Operations and the VP of Communication to protect the profits of the firm, and ensure client retention. 

  • Meet with leadership to plan achievable budgets that grow Snapshot and all our departments year-over-year

  • Participate in the weekly leadership meetings updating the extended leadership team on all sales / revenue / pipeline / and projections to ensure the company and all departments are meeting or exceeding projected sales goals and offering best practices in the sales and marketing space.

  • Ensure we have a healthy funnel of business, and our teams are setting aggressive targets to grow the company profitably over the year. This includes working with our parent company REG’s business development team, agents, VP of Sales, and our internal marketing team to generate a consistent flow of quality leads. 

  • Have at least 36 meaningful potential meetings per quarter of new business opportunities for the Company…be a part of sales process with the VP of Operations so that Ops and coordinate with the accounts team and project management team for onboarding and execution. 

  • Be a role model

  • Communicate and help solve any barrier from our team’s success as it pertains to new business development. 

  • If any of these are not happening, work with Founder, stakeholders, VP of Operations, and the VP of Communication to determine best next steps to get sales, marketing or operations back on track.

  • Set up, run, manage, update, automate, and report on a new busines, pipeline, and revenue on a CRM tool (Hubspot or Constant Contact) 

  • Consistently learn and implement new sales, marketing, and leadership skills through classes, reading, conference attendance, and mentorship. 

 

Team Mentoring / Building

  • Provide specific advice and counseling to our sales, accounts and creative teams regarding account strategy and sales/creative efforts.

  • Help the team grow personally and professionally within their job functions 

  • Communicate with the executive leadership team on all major changes happening in the company that affects the team and how best to ensure acceptance and implementation.

 

Marketing / Client Service

  • Work with our leadership team to ensure our funnel stays strong all times of the year.

  • Work with our digital communication managers and marketing teams to ensure all internal projects are on time and on budget that impact your pipeline, leads, and sales opportunities.  

  • Work with our leadership team to produce new company marketing strategies to keep us ahead of the industry and generate potential revenue for the Company.

 

Position Expectations

  • New Business Development, deliver pitches, proposals, and presentations alongside key players within the agency & CRM management 

  • Agency Revenue Growth

  • Oversee all aspects of sales as it pertains to Clients, online and offline, with timely and flawless delivery within the applicable scope and budget.

  • Supervise subordinate staff as we scale and grow your department

  • Collaborate with the leaders of other departments

  • Reputation and brand management

  • Lead overall agency perception

  • Help build an advisory board for the agency made up of strategic music industry partners, business owners, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders. 

  • Define, manage, and own our business development process and work closely with the VP of Operations and VP of Communication to ensure customer support practices are in place to stay on brand and foster retention of clientele, and trust, as well as revenue growth. 

  • Navigate music industry opportunities, as well as brands, and partners to gain an understanding of their unique company architectures and needs. 

  • Help create, run, manage, and update a GEM referral program. 

  • Researching the positioning and reputation of all competitors in the industry beginning in Nashville to see indications of differentiators and define whitespace for Company growth. 

  • Expand new business categories including music industry companies, artists, non-profit, exclusive strategic partnerships, as well as other regional and national industry sectors, i.e Freedom Boat Club. 

  • Develop a detailed project plan that is monitored and tracked for KPI performance with the executive leadership team so that any analysis that provides opportunities for revenue growth can be taken advantage of and to ensure client retention. 

  • Strengthening client, partner agency, and referral relationships

  • Ensure we have the team and skills to meet and exceed client requirements and expectations you have sold through.

  • Determine the positioning of the agency vs what the company wants to achieve and help develop a course of action and timeline to accomplish it alongside the VP of Operations, VP of Communication, and Founder. 

  • Build company and brand recognition as well as relationships within the industry across sectors and genres to boost business and consequently, the overall performance of the organization.

  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional partners to help define the timeline and execution of projects.

  • Determine current and future business development opportunities that can provide short- and long-term growth.

  • Review, analyze, evaluate, and contribute to business procedures.

  • Support the building or outsourcing of tools to assist in or streamline internal processes while protecting margins and striving toward profitable margins. 

  • Execute solutions to resolve issues.

  • Work with outside legal counsel/advisors as directed by the CEO alongside the VP of Operations involving legal matters, proposals, and contracts.

Staff & Supervisory

  • Oversees and manages the Business Development Department as we scale the company. 

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include Recruitment, training employees; planning, assigning, and directing business development work; appraising performance, and when necessary working with HR to discipline employees.

  • Help onboard new team members

  • Deploy training to improve overall productivity (e.g. brief training)

  • Schedule and participate in ongoing best practices forums

  • Improve customer service and satisfaction through policy and procedural changes alongside the Vice President of Communication. 

  • Maintain open, honest and transparent communication with associates at all levels through regularly scheduled meetings, one-on-one meetings with direct reports, skip-level meetings and various other effective communication methods

  • Be a collaborative leader, capable of driving internal & external stakeholders to consensus while balancing projects needs with longer-term relationship objectives

  • Lead with confidence and with little supervision

  • An innate ability to establish relationships and cultivate effective collaboration across wide groups of people
