Account Executitve

A quick glance at the Account Executive's job description for review and understanding. We will be working through each expectation we have for you and conducting weekly training on each portion throughout your first 3 months with the firm.

You are detail-oriented with a proven track record of successfully managing client relationships, implementing campaigns, and communicating with your team.

About the Position:

Our Account Executive is on the front lines effectively managing the day-to-day of our client's full project including digital and traditional marketing, PR, and media campaigns, communication, strategy, and ideation. The main responsibilities of the position will be to lead and manage the entire life of your accounts, including serving as the main point of contact for a wide range of clients across the corporate landscape including financial services, healthcare, textile, machinery, consumer products, entertainment, and services.

 

In short, the Account Executive is the liaison between an agency and our clients. You will oversee the agency-client relationship, determining clients’ needs—what they’re looking to achieve short-term and long-term—and ensuring the agency delivers.

What You’ll Do:

  • We’ll look to you to help execute campaigns that integrate seamlessly with the client’s broader marketing strategy, which will require knowledge of the sector and/or marketing in general

  • Guide and contribute in the development of Creative ideas and deliverables

  • Act as key business stakeholder and leader for our clients, driving accountability to business results, and enrolling internal Grayscale teams cross-functionally in the vision required to get there

  • Lead weekly client calls

  • Develop and deliver a senior-level strategy to CMO-level clients, derived from industry insights and category expertise. (Our client’s challenges become ours! We need to understand their highly-individual market conditions, and the levers of growth to focus on that will drive business results)

  • Build weekly team and client agendas to ensure clarity and flawless execution.

  • Be well versed in the various Paid Media and Measurement opportunities in social, digital, and broader marketing mix, to provide client recommendations on the proper social & digital KPIs, based on brand-specific goals.

  • A working knowledge of Facebook and Twitter’s Ad products is essential, as well as other platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and Snapchat

  • Eat, breathe, and sleep today’s marketing world as it pertains not only to the digital & mobile consumer, but marketing overall including e-commerce, influencer, traditional straight partnerships, and more to develop brand-specific strategies that, ultimately, help our clients sell shit (that’s why we love marketing and advertising, after all!)

  • You will help plan, launch, and evaluate campaigns across their entire lifecycle for our clients and own their outcomes.

  • Identify and help sell through incremental campaign opportunities to clients, that help them achieve the most efficient returns & results on their overall marketing dollars

  • You will be a relentless problem solver and will constantly be assessing and resolving both simple and complex challenges for both clients and your team

  • You will manage day-to-day communications between the client and the extended internal team (and a whole host of other people in between.)

  • You will work with (and at times, manage) other internal resources to execute against clients’ social media strategies, campaigns, and goals

  • The ability to navigate a portfolio of brands within a larger conglomerate or business group, gain an understanding of their unique company architectures, to build and strengthen relationships with essential stakeholders

  • We expect all of our team members to contribute to the creation and contextualization of program metrics and platform data

  • Add value to social advertising, earned media support based upon client goals and objectives

  • Responsible for assignments centered around operational and internal initiatives, as provided by the Leadership team

  • We live and breathe the social & digital space (and love nothing more than learning about something new) so we expect all of our Account Executives and Account Directors to have an innate curiosity

  • Often you will have to take complex issues or technologies and reframe them for internal and external audiences in a swift and concise fashion

  • Assist and help liaise with creative, paid, and operations teams on project and client needs

  • Collaborate with the leaders of other departments (Creative, Production, Analytics/Insights, Media, Community Management) to improve and execute on client deliverables, process, and output

  • Compile client SOWs, vendor agreements, change orders, and other contract documents with the Project Manager

  • Own SOW approvals & revisions

  • Contribute to the continued growth and stability of Grayscale Marketing, by being empowered to make decisions that are best for the company both today and tomorrow

  • You adapt deliverables to meet client needs

The primary responsibilities of our Account Executive are to foster client relationships; work with advertising, creative, media, sales, and marketing teams to prepare presentations and sales pitches; design marketing strategies and media proposals; handle client communications and write client reports, and communicate client agendas to other staff members.

 

Monitoring and communicating budgets, spending, and revenue, and explaining cost factors to clients are also part of the gig. We need to win and you are tasked with helping ensure we do and communicating that to our clients.
