About the Position:

Advertising teams will develop strategic paid strategies for our clients from the group up across all digital paid outlets including SEM, Display, Social, Programmatic, and Pre-roll. The position consists of all pre-sales activities, from receipt of the RFP, pricing, and building campaigns, assisting with the internal negotiation process as well as helping to guide sales through the close of deals, and presentation of SOW.

The day-to-day position requirements require the trafficking of campaigns across multiple platforms with a great deal of complexity. You will be working with specialists in earned and other paid media teams and should understand the role traditional disciplines play in paid digital content marketing.

The position will consist of identifying targeting tactics based on campaign briefs and defining media goals measured against precise KPIs and ongoing internal and client education. The role requires a commitment to driving innovative paid media solutions, in-depth analytics, reporting, and flawless execution. 

Campaign ideation, strategy, creation, audience development, pixel audit, ad copy creation, performance monitoring, reporting, budgets, billing, and plan optimization as well as creating and sharing case studies are all under your purview. 


Job Description:

  • Analyze data, research markets, build personas and perspectives to assist in developing platform selection, campaign, strategy, and other buying strategies for maximizing media dollars.

  • Use qualitative and cultural mining and insightful synthesis of quantitative research to inform a strategic paid approach.

  • Manage the day-to-day client paid campaigns as well as participating in client status calls, providing media updates, and the overall status of running campaigns managing client expectations.

  • Ensure campaigns are pacing according to the media plan by monitoring performance and making changes when necessary.

  • Manage campaign budget across various platforms daily, weekly, and quarterly.

  • Collaborate with the media buyer and creative team on upcoming campaigns determining the target audience and creative strategies to implement for digital.

  • Develop distinct and differentiated audience segmentations that are connected to strategic decisions and creative ways-in.

  • Articulate effective strategic rationale and logic flow that will help form a compelling story

  • Provide input on the strategic development of client presentations and other important communication in a clear manner.

  • Be actively involved in the briefing of creative teams for ideation and steer/facilitate brainstorms and workshops.

  • Have accountable for the ongoing performance of several managed campaigns/ownership of internal processes for quality assurance.

  • Oversee trafficking, reporting, and insights for all paid

  • Manage campaign budgets and client financials including digital media budgets, media spend summaries and monthly media billing process.

  • Ensure all media team members, creative, and account deliverables are tracking against client's expectations and meeting media best practices.

  • Carefully analyze campaign performance; evaluate and interpret performance-related KPIs.

  • Prepare accurate reports with clearly synthesized insights and actionable next steps.

  • Continuously propose optimizations and assure the quality control of campaigns.

  • Research keywords, market trends, and competition to ensure clients are competitive in the market.

  • Develop and implement tests at a rapid pace.

  • Develop sales funnels, work within CRM, and track across all pixels, Google Analytics, and dashboards.

  • Analyze and recommend new copy & creative using both qualitative and quantitative metrics.

  • Stay up to date on relevant industry trends, new ad products, and best practices

  • You own reaching our client's goals, on time and within budget.

  • Leverage research and platform analytics to:

  • Identify the most valuable audiences for our clients, balancing longer-term brand-building objectives and real/near-real-time results to be achieved.

  • Conduct social listening and content audits.

  • Conduct audience, category, and brand analysis; leveraging our data, licensed data, and/or clients' 1st Party data.

  • Develop a robust plan to measure the performance (in real/near-real time), increasing the probability of success through on-going optimization.

  • You will own digital media strategy and execution as a core component of our broader omnichannel lifecycle marketing solutions.

  • Develop and execute near and long-term PPC account strategies, roadmaps and execute day-to-day tactics to increase conversion and revenue.

  • Experienced with Addressable Media and Audience Onboarding tools like LiveRamp and Facebook Custom Audience, among others.

  • Manage the day-to-day media marketing activities across multiple platforms and clients.

  • Create, analyze, and optimize our paid media content and copy (Google/Bing/Yahoo, Facebook/Instagram, Programmatic and More)

  • Continuously test ad creatives, bids, placements, landing pages, and audiences to drive profitable growth.

  • Work collaboratively with Account and Cross-Channel Strategy teams to translate client needs into campaign strategies that over-deliver on their needs

  • Assist on new business pitches

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's or higher in Marketing, Advertising, or Communication

  • 7+ years of progressive growth in a media strategy and execution-focused role.

  • Have Certifications: Facebook Blueprint Certification, Google Analytics, and Paid Certifications, Youtube, & Hubspot.

  • *Not all certifications are required but be able to showcase your desire to consistently improve your skillset and be a master of your craft. 

  • Proven success working on digital paid campaigns, ideally with budgets above $1M per year

  • Expert knowledge in media strategies across Paid Search, Paid Social, Display, Programmatic and more.

  • Expert knowledge of reporting, analytics, and excel including pivot tables, formulas, and data visualization tools.

  • Capable of working independently and creating plans from the ground up

  • Expert at building marketing funnels + attribution analysis

  • Understand new Facebook changes with ISO updates.

  • Hands-on experience with ad serving solutions, tag management, and operations.

  • A strong, proactive communicator with a can-do, positive attitude and a strong desire to get things done.

  • Ability to develop a digital media plan and coordinate the launch of a media campaign with minimal direction.

  • Experience using G-Suite: Docs, Sheets, Slides, Microsoft (PowerPoint, Word)

  • Experience tactically planning across biddable and native platforms in any of the following:

  • Social: Facebook / IG, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat

  • DSP: TEADS, TradeDesk

  • Search: Google / Google SA360, Microsoft Search

  • Audio: Spotify

  • OTT: Freewheel/Comcast

  • Audio: Megaphone

  • Knowledge in the various paid media and measurement opportunities across social, digital, and broader marketing mix Including but not limited to:

  • Google Analytics

  • MOAT/IAS/Doubleverify

  • Nielsen/Millward Brown/Oracle Measurement

  • Management of a direct report or team a plus

  • Strategic thinking ability with a balanced analytical and creative approach to integrated marketing planning.

  • Understanding of multiple channels for communications and connections, and their role in brand and content marketing.
